REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY 2019
The Dept. of Obstetrics and Gynecological nursing of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing observed the International women’s day on 7th March 2019 with the theme of “BALANCE FOR BETTER” at LMET Auditorium, A.J. Towers, Balmatta.
Mrs. Sandhya D’Almeida HOD Dept. Of OBG Nursing welcomed the gathering.
Mr. Umarabba, Project officer, Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, Mangalore, was the chief guest for the day and he highlighted on the rights of women and empowerment. Dr. Larissa Martha Sams, Principal, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, presided over the programme.
Self defense training was given by Mr. Karthik Kateel.
Mrs. Chandramohini, Taluk co-ordinator, Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs. Raina Menezes, Lecturer dept. of OBG , LMCN compared the entire programme. Around 150 delegates were present for the programme. Programme came to an end by 12.30am.
