The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing at Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing celebrated International Women’s Day on March 15, 2022, with the theme “GENDER EQUALITY TODAY FOR SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW” at the Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing auditorium.
Mrs. Ashritha P Shetty, Director, Laxmi Memorial Education Trust, Mrs. M. Kavitha S Shastri, Lions Past District Governer, Retd Principal, Gujarati Mahajan School as Chief Guest, Dr. Larissa Martha Sam’s, Principal, Laxmi Memorial College Of Nursing, Dr. Theresa Leonilda Mendonca, Vice-Principal, Laxmi Memorial College Of Nursing, Prof. Sandhya D’Almeida, Program Coordinator, welcomed the gathering. On International Women’s Day 2022, Mrs. M. Kavitha S Shastri addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of all women developing self-confidence. Cooking without fire competition was held at Mothi Mahal in Mangaluru, prizes awarded.
Mrs. Neena Umesh, the former Lecturer of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust, was honored on International Women’s Day. Mrs. Sofiya Riyana proposed a vote of thanks, and Mrs. Kavana compared the programme. The programme included faculty from the Laxmi Memorial Education Trust.
