INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY-2019
Child health nursing department of Laxmi Memorial College of nursing observed the International day of people with disability at Riya hope farm, Kullshekar on 3 rd December 2019. Focused on the theme of “ promoting the participation of persons with disabilities & their leadership: Ms.Preval of 3rd year Bsc(N), LMCN, highlighted the significance of the day.
Dr.Larissa Martha Sams, principal of Laxmi Memorial College of nursing, Dr.Theresa Leonilda Mendonca, HOD of pediatric nursing, Mr.Ashly Fernandes & Ms.Keerthana Kumar, founder directors of Riya hope farm and teaching staffs of LMCN &Riya foundation were also present on this occasion.
Various activities like painting and games were conducted. Children have actively participated in the games and dance that were conducted by the 3 rd year Bsc(N) students. Gifts were given to all the participants & the programme culminated with the distribution of refreshments.
